The three home sizes
The smallest home unit is listed at 5kWh, based on a 48V pack at 100Ah. Its listed cycle figure is 6000 or more cycles under the stated condition. The middle unit is listed at 8.7kWh, based on a 48V pack at 170Ah, with a charge voltage of 58.4 V and a steel housing material in its listed specification. The largest unit is listed at 12kWh, based on a 48V pack at 230Ah, with a protection list covering over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit and charge and discharge over-temperature alarm and protection. The three units are not presented as a single model with three settings; they are three models, and the pages keep their figures separate.
A home battery is chosen by stored energy, but stored energy alone does not size a home system. The load profile, the solar input where relevant, the inverter limits and the space available all affect the choice.
